New Beginnings

Everywhere I turn, people from all walks of life are experiencing overwhelming challenges. A failed business, the suicide of a family member, death of a child or a child with a devastating disease or on drugs, a spouse with Alzheimer, a parent with dementia, a home destroyed, retirement stripped away…and the list goes on.You may feel that you are on the verge of exploding into a million pieces. I too, have faced challenges that seemed insurmountable, and my behavior was unworthy of the “me” I longed to be. I repressed feelings that could be triggered at the most inopportune times, and I felt like two people warring against each other. I wondered: Who am I? Will the Real Me Please Stand Up?God knew you before the foundation of the world. His plans for you are for peace and not for evil to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). He gave you divine power and the spiritual ability to take control of your thought life. First, God lets you in on a secret; he reveals “who Jesus is.” Then, he reveals who you really are. (Read Matthew 16:17 The Message) How can I be the person he created me to be?The Holy Spirit is a wonderful Counselor, and the word of God will expose, analyze and judge the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. He will erase the pain, bind up and heal the broken-hearted.

PRAYER:

Father, today is a new beginning and this day belongs to you! Today I will celebrate and be glad wherever I may be. In the name of Jesus I submit to your will so that my plans and purposes may be conducted in a manner that will bring honor to you. Thank you for keeping me spiritually and mentally alert in this time of mediation and prayer. You can do anything, Father – far more than I could ever imagine or guess or request in my wildest dreams by Your Spirit within me. Glory to You forever! Meditation: Lamentations 3:22-23Nuevos comienzos Dondequiera que vaya, personas de todos los ámbitos de la vida están experimentando desafíos abrumadores. Un negocio fallido, el suicidio de un miembro de la familia, la muerte de un hijo o de un niño con una enfermedad devastadora o drogado, un cónyuge con Alzheimer, un padre con demencia, un hogar destruido, una jubilación despojada… y la lista continúa. Quizás sientas que estás a punto de explotar en un millón de pedazos. Yo también he enfrentado desafíos que parecían insuperables y mi comportamiento no era digno del “yo” que anhelaba ser. Reprimí sentimientos que podían desencadenarse en los momentos más inoportunos y me sentí como dos personas en guerra entre sí. Me preguntaba: ¿Quién soy yo? ¿Podría mi verdadero yo ponerse de pie? Dios te conoció antes de la fundación del mundo. Sus planes para ti son de paz y no de mal para darte una esperanza y un futuro (Jeremías 29:11). Él te dio poder divino y la capacidad espiritual para tomar control de tu vida de pensamiento. Primero, Dios te revela un secreto; revela “quién es Jesús”. Luego, revela quién eres realmente. (Lea Mateo 16:17 El Mensaje) ¿Cómo puedo ser la persona para la que Él me creó? El Espíritu Santo es un Consejero maravilloso, y la palabra de Dios expondrá, analizará y juzgará los mismos pensamientos y propósitos del corazón. Él borrará el dolor, vendará y sanará a los quebrantados de corazón. ORACIÓN: ¡Padre, hoy es un nuevo comienzo y este día te pertenece! Hoy celebraré y me alegraré dondequiera que esté. En el nombre de Jesús me someto a tu voluntad para que mis planes y propósitos se lleven a cabo de una manera que te traiga honor. Gracias por mantenerme alerta espiritual y mentalmente en este tiempo de meditación y oración. Tú puedes hacer cualquier cosa, Padre, mucho más de lo que jamás podría imaginar, adivinar o pedir en mis sueños más locos por Tu Espíritu dentro de mí. ¡Gloria a Ti por siempre!
