The Perfect Revelation of the Lord

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

19 The heavens declare the glory of God;And the firmament[a] shows [b]His handiwork.2 Day unto day utters speech,And night unto night reveals knowledge.3 There is no speech nor languageWhere their voice is not heard.4 Their [c]line has gone out through all the earth,And their words to the end of the world.

In them He has set a [d]tabernacle for the sun,5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.6 Its rising is from one end of heaven,And its circuit to the other end;And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, [e]converting the soul;The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.10 More to be desired are they than gold,Yea, than much fine gold;Sweeter also than honey and the [f]honeycomb.11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,And in keeping them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors?Cleanse me from secret faults.13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;Let them not have dominion over me.Then I shall be blameless,And I shall be innocent of [g]great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heartBe acceptable in Your sight,O Lord, my [h]strength and my Redeemer.

The Assurance of God’s Saving Work

20 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;May the name of the God of Jacob [i]defend you;2 May He send you help from the sanctuary,And strengthen you out of Zion;3 May He remember all your offerings,And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah

4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,And fulfill all your [j]purpose.5 We will rejoice in your salvation,And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

6 Now I know that the Lord saves His [k]anointed;He will answer him from His holy heavenWith the saving strength of His right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.8 They have bowed down and fallen;But we have risen and stand upright.

9 Save, Lord!May the King answer us when we call.

Joy in the Salvation of the Lord

21 The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord;And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!2 You have given him his heart’s desire,And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

3 For You meet him with the blessings of goodness;You set a crown of pure gold upon his head.4 He asked life from You, and You gave it to him—Length of days forever and ever.5 His glory is great in Your salvation;Honor and majesty You have placed upon him.6 For You have made him most blessed forever;You have made him [l]exceedingly glad with Your presence.7 For the king trusts in the Lord,And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be [m]moved.

8 Your hand will find all Your enemies;Your right hand will find those who hate You.9 You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger;The Lord shall swallow them up in His wrath,And the fire shall devour them.10 Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth,And their [n]descendants from among the sons of men.11 For they intended evil against You;They devised a plot which they are not able to perform.12 Therefore You will make them turn their back;You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces.

13 Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength!We will sing and praise Your power.

Las obras y la palabra de Dios

19 Los cielos proclaman la gloria de Dios;el firmamento revela la obra de sus manos.2 Un día se lo cuenta al otro día;una noche se lo enseña a la otra noche.3 Sin palabras, sin sonidos,sin que se escuche una sola voz,4 su mensaje recorre toda la tierray llega al último rincón del mundo,en donde el sol pasa la noche.5 Y el sol, cual novio que sale del tálamo,cual si fuera un poderoso guerrero,se levanta alegre para hacer su recorrido.6 Sale por un extremo de los cielos,y sigue su curso hasta el otro extremo,sin que nada se esconda de su calor.

7 La ley del Señor es perfecta: reanima el alma.El testimonio del Señor es firme: da sabiduría al ingenuo.8 Los preceptos del Señor son rectos: alegran el corazón.El mandamiento del Señor es puro: da luz a los ojos.9 El temor del Señor es bueno: permanece para siempre.Los decretos del Señor son verdaderos, y todos ellos justos.10 Son más deseables que el oro refinadoy más dulces que la miel que destila del panal.11 Con ellos, Señor, amonestas a tu siervo,y recompensas grandemente a quien los cumple.

12 ¿Acaso hay quien reconozca sus propios errores?¡Perdóname por los que no puedo recordar!13 ¡No permitas que la soberbiadomine a este siervo tuyo!¡Líbrame de cometer grandes pecados,y nadie podrá entonces culparme de nada!14 Tú, Señor, eres mi roca y mi redentor;¡agrádate de mis palabras y de mis pensamientos!

20 Que el Señor te oiga en momentos de angustia;que te defienda el Nombre, el Dios de Jacob.2 Que desde su templo te envíe su ayuda;que desde Sión te brinde su apoyo.3 Que tome en cuenta tus ofrendasY acepte con agrado tus holocaustos.4 Que responda a los deseos de tu corazóny te conceda todas tus peticiones.5 ¡Nos llenará de gozo el verte victorioso,y en el nombre del Dios nuestro alzaremos las banderas!¡Que el Señor responda a todas tus plegarias!

6 Ahora sé que el Señor salvará a su ungido,que lo escuchará desde su santo cielo,y que con su diestra poderosa le dará la victoria.7 Algunos confían en sus carros de guerra;otros confían en su caballería,Pero nosotros confiamos en el Nombre,¡confiamos en el Señor, nuestro Dios!8 Unos y otros flaquean, y caen por tierra,pero nosotros nos mantenemos erguidos y en pie.9 Señor, ¡concede al rey la victoria!¡Respóndenos cuando te invoquemos!

21 Señor, el rey se alegra por tu poder;grande es su gozo por tu salvación.2 Le has concedido los deseos de su corazón;le has concedido todas sus peticiones.3 Lo has recibido con grandes bendiciones;lo has coronado con fina corona de oro.4 Te pidió muchos años de vida,y tú se los concediste.5 Le concediste además honra y grandeza;por eso él se gloría en tu salvación.6 Lo has bendecido para siempre;con tu presencia lo has llenado de alegría.

7 El rey confía en ti, Señor;confía en tu misericordia, Dios Altísimo;¡por eso nunca será derrocado!8 Su mano derribará a todos sus enemigos;su diestra destruirá a quienes lo aborrecen.

9 Cuando tú, Señor, te manifiestes,los convertirás en un horno encendido;en tu enojo los harás pedazos,y con tu fuego acabarás con ellos.10 Borrarás de la tierra a sus descendientes,y ninguno de ellos quedará con vida.11 Ellos tramaron hacerte daño;maquinaron insidias, pero no prevalecerán.12 Tú los pondrás en retiradacuando dispares contra ellos tus flechas.

13 ¡Enaltece, Señor, tu gran poder,y celebraremos con salmos tu victoria!
