Psalm 19

New King James Version

The Perfect Revelation of the Lord

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

19 The heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament[a] shows [b]His handiwork.

2 Day unto day utters speech,

And night unto night reveals knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language

Where their voice is not heard.

4 Their [c]line has gone out through all the earth,

And their words to the end of the world.

In them He has set a [d]tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,

And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.

6 Its rising is from one end of heaven,

And its circuit to the other end;

And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, [e]converting the soul;

The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;

The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;

The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold,

Yea, than much fine gold;

Sweeter also than honey and the [f]honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,

And in keeping them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors?

Cleanse me from secret faults.

13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;

Let them not have dominion over me.

Then I shall be blameless,

And I shall be innocent of [g]great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

Be acceptable in Your sight,

O Lord, my [h]strength and my Redeemer.

19 Al músico principal. Salmo de David.Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios,

y el firmamento anuncia la obra de sus manos.

2 Un día comunica su mensaje al otro día,

y una noche a la otra declara sabiduría.

3 No es un lenguaje de palabras

ni se escucha su voz;

4 pero por toda la tierra salió su voz[a]

y hasta el extremo del mundo sus palabras.

En ellos puso un tabernáculo

para el sol;

5 y este, como un novio que sale

de su dosel,

se alegra como un valiente que emprende la carrera.

6 En un extremo del cielo está su salida, y en el otro está su punto de retorno. ¡Nada hay que se esconda de su calor!

7 La ley del SEÑOR es perfecta; restaura el alma.

El testimonio del SEÑOR es fiel; hace sabio al ingenuo.

8 Los preceptos del SEÑOR son rectos; alegran el corazón.

El mandamiento del SEÑOR es puro; alumbra los ojos.

9 El temor del SEÑOR es limpio; permanece para siempre.

Los juicios del SEÑOR son verdad; son todos justos.

10 Son más deseables que el oro; más que mucho oro fino.

Son más dulces que la miel que destila del panal.

11 Además, con ellos es amonestado

tu siervo;

en guardarlos hay grande galardón.

12 ¿Quién entenderá los errores? ¡Líbrame de los que me son ocultos!

13 Asimismo, guarda a tu siervo de los arrogantes;

que ellos no se enseñoreen de mí. Entonces seré íntegro y limpio de gran rebelión.

14 Sean gratos los dichos de mi boca

y la meditación de mi corazón delante de ti, oh SEÑOR,

Roca mía y Redentor mío.
