INING WITH JESUS
Revelation 3:20 (NKJV) Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Can we really take hold of this verse? Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, would like to come and sup with us. When we think of eating with someone, we think of fellowship and sharing with one another, and that is what our Lord is talking about here. He would like to come and fellowship with us.
I once heard someone say that the meaning of the word fellowship is “two fellows in a ship.” What would two fellows in a ship do? They would talk, and share, and laugh, especially if they are good friends. Well, there is no greater friend than Jesus! So as you hear Him knocking on the door of your heart, open up to Him and let Him in. I guarantee that your life will never be the same!
When God comes down in your “cool of the day,” like He did with Adam and Eve, and wants to hang out with you, you will be full of joy, and that, unspeakable! So make a decision, today, to give God some “dinnertime,” and enjoy a time of fine cuisine!
Confession: Jesus said that if I hear Him knock and I let Him in, then He will come and dine with me. Today, I open my heart wide to let my Lord fellowship with me. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving me so much that you want to hang out with me!
