NO BLUES FOR US 06-30-2024
Psalm 43:5 (MSG) Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God— soon I'll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He's my God.
We all have days when we are down; days when it seems that no matter what the weather might be, it is just grey and raining inside of us. But in this verse, the Psalmist is saying, “Hey mind, get out of the dumps! It is sunny behind those clouds, and if God is for us, we know that everything is going to come together!”
Many times, we could be doing well, but then we let a thought get into our mind, and we do not arrest it, and it starts controlling us. I like what the psalmist says to do, FIX YOUR EYES ON GOD!
When we see who God is, what He has, and what He can do, then we see who the devil is not, what he does not have, and what he cannot do. You see, our God is the Creator of all good. Jesus said it so well in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” God is good, and the devil is bad.
So when you have those blue days, ask yourself, “Where is this coming from?” As you renew your mind to the Word of God, you will see that they come from the enemy. You might ask me, “What should I do?” Let us do what this Psalm says to do: Start praising God! Praise Him when you feel like it and when you do not, and you will see that when you start praising Him, the blues will go away.
Praising God from the heart just puts a smile on your face. It is so powerful that we cannot overlook it. David praised God during the good times of life, and even when the fires of life came against him. So today, do not be blue! Look to God, and see Him for Who He is: Your Father, who loves you SO MUCH!
CONFESSION: Today, I will not let my mind control me. I will sing praises to the One who is worthy of all praises. He is God, and I am His loving child.

NO HAY BLUES PARA NOSOTROS 30-06-2024
Salmo 43:5 (MSG) ¿Por qué estás en el basurero, alma querida? ¿Por qué lloras la melancolía? Fija mis ojos en Dios, pronto estaré alabando de nuevo. Me pone una sonrisa en la cara. Él es mi Dios.
Todos tenemos días en los que estamos deprimidos; Días en los que parece que no importa el tiempo que haga, solo es gris y llueve dentro de nosotros. Pero en este versículo, el salmista está diciendo: "¡Oye, mente, sal de los basureros! Hace sol detrás de esas nubes, y si Dios está con nosotros, ¡sabemos que todo se va a juntar!".
Muchas veces, podríamos estar haciéndolo bien, pero luego dejamos que un pensamiento entre en nuestra mente, y no lo detenemos, y comienza a controlarnos. Me gusta lo que el salmista dice que hagas: ¡FIJA TUS OJOS EN DIOS!
Cuando vemos quién es Dios, lo que tiene y lo que puede hacer, entonces vemos quién no es el diablo, qué no tiene y qué no puede hacer. Como veis, nuestro Dios es el Creador de todo bien. Jesús lo dijo muy bien en Juan 10:10: "El ladrón no viene sino para hurtar, matar y destruir. Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia". Dios es bueno y el diablo es malo.
Así que cuando tengas esos días azules, pregúntate: "¿De dónde viene esto?" A medida que renueves tu mente a la Palabra de Dios, verás que vienen del enemigo. Quizás me preguntes: "¿Qué debo hacer?" Hagamos lo que dice este Salmo: ¡Comienza a alabar a Dios! Alábalo cuando te apetezca y cuando no, y verás que cuando comiences a alabarle, la tristeza desaparecerá.
Alabar a Dios desde el corazón solo pone una sonrisa en tu rostro. Es tan poderoso que no podemos pasarlo por alto. David alabó a Dios durante los buenos tiempos de la vida, e incluso cuando los fuegos de la vida vinieron contra él. Así que hoy, ¡no seas triste! Mira a Dios, y míralo por lo que Él es: ¡Tu Padre, que te ama TANTO!
CONFESIÓN: Hoy no dejaré que mi mente me controle. Cantaré alabanzas a Aquel que es digno de todas las alabanzas. Él es Dios, y yo soy Su hijo amoroso.
