DON’T GIVE IT UP
John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 (NLTSE) The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
Today, let us look at the next part of this verse. Not only does the thief come to steal, but Jesus said that he also comes to kill.
At first, it appears that this means to kill, or to take someone's life. But the Greek word is thuo, which means to sacrifice. It referred to the sacrificial giving of animals on the altar. It could mean to sacrifice, to surrender, or to give up something that is precious and dear. It was particularly used in a religious connotation to denote the sacrifice of animals, and it had nothing to do with killing in terms of murder.
Since Jesus uses this word to describe the work of the thief here in John 10:10, He is telling us that if the thief has not already walked away with everything we hold precious and dear, he will try to convince us that we need to sacrifice, or give up, everything he has not already taken from us.
Satan does not want you to have any blessings that belong to you from the Word of God, so He will try to get you to sacrifice them. I believe that many times he does this by our wrong thinking and wrong speaking.
Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he...”
Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
It is so important that we do not give up, or sacrifice, the things that we have been taught and believed all these years. When he comes and says that God does not heal today, do not try to reason with that thought. Go to the Word of God and quote it, just like Jesus did: "IT IS WRITTEN!"
Jesus defeated the enemy with the Word, and He gave us His example. So today, do not give anything up. Get the Word, and see what belongs to you in Christ Jesus.

Juan 10:10 (RVC) El ladrón no viene sino para hurtar, y para matar, y para destruir. Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia.
Juan 10:10 (NTV) El propósito del ladrón es robar, matar y destruir. Mi propósito es darles una vida rica y satisfactoria.
Hoy, veamos la siguiente parte de este versículo. No solo el ladrón viene a robar, sino que Jesús dijo que también viene a matar.
Al principio, parece que esto significa matar o quitarle la vida a alguien. Pero la palabra griega es thuo, que significa sacrificio. Se refería a la entrega sacrificial de animales en el altar. Podría significar sacrificarse, rendirse o renunciar a algo que es precioso y querido. Se usaba particularmente en una connotación religiosa para denotar el sacrificio de animales, y no tenía nada que ver con matar en términos de asesinato.
Ya que Jesús usa esta palabra para describir la obra del ladrón aquí en Juan 10:10, nos está diciendo que si el ladrón aún no se ha ido con todo lo que consideramos precioso y querido, tratará de convencernos de que necesitamos sacrificar, o renunciar, a todo lo que aún no nos ha quitado.
Satanás no quiere que usted tenga ninguna bendición que le pertenezca de la Palabra de Dios, por lo que tratará de hacer que usted las sacrifique. Creo que muchas veces él hace esto por nuestro mal pensamiento y mal hablar.
Proverbios 23:7, "Porque como piensa en su corazón, así es..."
Proverbios 18:21, "La muerte y la vida están en el poder de la lengua, y los que la aman comerán de su fruto".
Es muy importante que no renunciemos, ni sacrifiquemos, las cosas que nos han enseñado y creído todos estos años. Cuando venga y diga que Dios no sana hoy, no trates de razonar con ese pensamiento. Ve a la Palabra de Dios y cítala, tal como lo hizo Jesús: "¡ESCRITO ES!"
Jesús derrotó al enemigo con la Palabra, y nos dio Su ejemplo. Así que hoy, no renuncies a nada. Obtengan la Palabra, y vean lo que les pertenece a Uds. en Cristo Jesús.
Confesión: Hoy, me niego a renunciar a lo que Dios, mi Padre, me ha dado. Jesús pagó un precio asombroso para que yo pueda tener todo lo que la Palabra dice que puedo tener, y me niego a sacrificar nada de eso. Dra.Diana Brevan
